A montage of two images capturing Jupiter during a brief moment of good seeing (30.5 degrees in elevation) and the start of an occultation of Europa by Io forty minutes later.

The dark impact mark discovered by Anthony Wesley is rotating into view at lower left as the great red spot moves past the meridian. A slightly better image here.
