I was rewarded twice today - first with a clear and sunny winter morning, then with the realization that the sun's elevation is now high enough to travel above the rooftops. The window of opportunity is brief as the sun passes between the power lines, but it was long enough to get a good glimpse of this fine prominence (click here for a wider view showing the scale of this beauty.)
